New Sermon Series

We are going to be in a new sermon series, which we started last week. Its called Simple Design. It has 3 simple commands from Jesus, Follow, Believe, Obey. I am really excited about this one. Everything we are doing right now is gearing up toward Easter.

We got some really BIG things happening for Easter so stay tuned. Invite someone this Sunday. We had 4 more people get saved! Yea God!!

Christmas Classics

We start a brand new series THIS Sunday. Our first sermon is called "X-PECTATIONS. It is about what the characters in the Christmas story expected and what really happened.

We also will be having a red cross blood drive next Sunday. The red cross truck will be at the Muvico from 12:00 until 3:00. Hey whats a pint of blood? Also you get a free movie ticket. Our men's ministry is getting ready to kick off on January 9th and we will meet at the Muvico from 7:00 pm til 9:00 pm..

Wow... we are really starting to give life to Life Point. :-)))

Loneliness... This Weeks Sermon

I am stoked about this Sunday. This is the last of a 4 part series on "Got Baggage." I think this will be the best one yet. There are some GREAT things happening at Life Point now and coming up. We are going to have some HUGE announcements in a couple of weeks for some stuff we are going to be doing in the coming months. All I can tell you is if you miss THIS Sunday, you may miss the best service we have had yet. NO KIDDING!!!

Also, our web site is almost done and it will be AWESOME. Kudos to my buddy Matt at Factor 1 Studios for all the work. Matt is on our team ex parte and will be doing our graphics for all our sermon series as well as getting us up and running for the web. Oh the web site will offer each sermon in audio AND video. Also for all you church planters, we will be offering ALL our resources for each sermon FREE. Yes FREE. Everything. Stay Tuned!!! More great stuff to come!!!

Tomorrow

I love this sermon series on Baggage. It is testing me as I work through my own baggage in life. Tomorrow we talk about FAILURE. Everyone fails but not everyone fails correctly. However if we are a Christ-Follower and are truly seeking to be all that Christ wants us to be... WE CAN NOT FAIL!!!!! God will not let us fail. We will sin yes but failure is not defeat. It is a step toward perfection and completion in God's eyes.

Invite someone tomorrow to come with you. It will be a great fun time! I can't wait.

Sermon Series For Preview Services

I have a new Friend:
Margaret Feinberg is one extra-ordinary individual being used by God in a mighty way. She has spoken at Fusion, Catalyst, and LeadNow, She challenges people to discover the relevance of God and His Word in a modern world. She has written more than a dozen books including the critically-acclaimed The Organic God (Zondervan). While Twentysomething and What the Heck Am I Going to Do With My Life? have established her as an expert on reaching the next generation, people of all ages connect with her relational teaching style.

But The Organic God really touched me. So much so, that I am going to preach on this subject at our first preview service September 30 and our second preview service on October 21. We have added so much "Stuff" to God that it has become burdensome and toxic. We need to get "Organic" with our relationship with God and when we do, we can experience a natural, pure, and essential relationship with God.

If you are not reading Margaret's books you are just plain missing the boat. Period. If you are not reading her blog which can be found HERE you are so out of it!!! Her web page can be found HERE.
She and her husband Leif live in Colorado. It gets really cold there in February. It is not cold in SW Florida in February. Its tropical... so maybe just maybe we can get Margaret to lead our Women's conference "What's The Point." (hint, hint)
